No Shame

Somedays we just have to say, "no shame" and go for it. Napper-man suited up for his nap and I plan to do the same later. We can laugh, but we can we really hate on him? I don't think we should. As my mother would say in her sweet, loving mommy voice, "Don't hate." Therefore, for my mom and my soul, I will not hate on no-shame-mr-suited-up-napper. I will laugh, and then have mad respect for the dude. After all can you sleep anywhere? In a suit? I say, "you go Glen Coco!"

How long of a work day did he have? Did he miss his stop? Does he have a family? I often wonder if we would all take the time to think of the person we pass on the street and love him for a little bit. I laughed because it was funny. Now I hope to laugh, not to be mean to him, but to acknowledge that he is a human person and I would totally do the same. I'm going to pray for all the peeps who nap in the most unique places; they are tired for different reasons. Maybe when he gets off the metro he has four kids (if he's catholic, eight or nine). Hopefully this nap prepared him well for the job Jesus has for him.

They see me nappin' they hatin',

Pillow, so soft now I'm sleepin' happy.

Thanks to all my friends who let me nap, and love me for it.

I will have no shame next time I need to do anything to help me be a better person: napping, singing, laughing, crying, praying. Especially praying, and especially in public. No shame. You do that sign of the cross before eating. Body and Soul. Feed that body and soul. No shame.

Love and naps,
The Joyful Catholic Napper (JCN)
